The actress is a living in New York City. Chando was a student at Manhattan College before becoming an actress. Chando originated the role of Maddie Coleman on the television soap show As the World turns, which she played from 2005 to 2007 and again for several months, beginning in the latter part of 2009. Alexandra debuted in 2002 with House Blend in 2002 as Jenna Harper. She played Maddie Coleman in the CBS television soap As the World Turns for three seasons. Then in 2009, Chando got a role in the American documentary television series True life and further appeared in the TV series, Sherri. She starred two episodes in the American television show drama-comedy Glory Daze. Also, she was on Castle, Hindsight and Dead People.
